Our Story
Studio Cravo was born from a longing — for places of well-being, for moments that last, for traditions that are passed on.
Inspired by the Norwegian way of life, shaped by a design that celebrates clarity, reduction, and freedom, we create textiles for table and kitchen that you’ll want to pass on. The table is no random place — it is the center of life, where people gather, where everyday life becomes special, and moments worth cherishing are created.
Every piece is created with a love for craftsmanship — from sketch to embroidery, consciously made and fairly produced. Studio Cravo stands for conscious growth and the conviction that beautiful things should be created with care.

Our Studio
In our studio in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, initial ideas and sketches become prototypes. Here, we experiment, test, and refine, always in close exchange with our producers in Portugal. What is possible? What can be produced in larger quantities under our standards?
We usually gather inspiration in the moment — at the table with friends or family, while traveling, or in our home countries, Norway and Portugal.
Portugal is not our production country by chance. It is the adopted home of founder Gyda, and what could be more natural than to produce where family lives and where one often visits? Our products are created in a small family-run manufactory in Guimarães. All materials come from Europe; read more here.
